Seller Policy

Seller Listing & Conduct Policy

All sellers must agree to these rules before publishing any prompt. Last updated: June 2026.

1. Introduction

Promtify is a curated multi-vendor marketplace for AI prompts. Sellers are the heart of the platform: the quality of your work directly shapes the trust that buyers place in us. This Seller Policy defines what we expect from every seller and the consequences of breaking those expectations. It applies in addition to our Terms of Service, the Refund Policy and the Buyer Policy. By publishing a listing or accepting a payout you confirm that you have read and accepted this policy in full.

2. Eligibility & account

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your country) and legally able to enter into a contract. You must provide accurate identity information, a working payout method and, where required by tax law, valid tax details (PAN/GSTIN, W-8/W-9, etc.). One person or legal entity should operate one seller account; multiple accounts created to evade suspensions, inflate ratings, or game promotions are not allowed.

3. Originality — sell only your own work

Every prompt you publish must be your original work. You may not list:

  • Prompts copied from other Promtify sellers, even with minor edits or paraphrasing.
  • Prompts taken from other marketplaces (PromptBase, FlowGPT, Snack Prompt, etc.) or from public prompt galleries.
  • Prompts copied from paid courses, eBooks, Skool / Discord communities or private newsletters.
  • Prompts whose IP belongs to your current or former employer.
  • Prompts generated by another AI tool and resold as if they were hand-crafted, unless you have meaningfully refined and tested them.

When a copy report is filed, our team compares listings using both human review and automated similarity checks. Confirmed duplication leads to listing removal, withholding of any related pending payouts, and account suspension. A repeated pattern leads to a permanent ban.

4. Listing quality standards

Every listing should give the buyer a clear, honest picture of what they are about to purchase:

  • Title describes the actual outcome, not vague hype.
  • Description states what the prompt does, who it is for, the AI model it is designed for, any required subscription tier, and any limitations.
  • Previews (images, sample outputs, videos) must be generated by the prompt itself. Cherry-picked outputs are fine; fabricated or unrelated previews are not.
  • Variables and placeholders are clearly labelled so a non-technical buyer can replace them.
  • Pricing reflects the value provided. Aggressive under-pricing to attack other sellers, or extreme over-pricing of low-effort content, may trigger a quality review.

5. Prohibited content

The following are not allowed on Promtify and will be removed on sight:

  • Sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises real children — this is reported to the relevant authorities.
  • Non-consensual sexual content, revenge content or deepfake nudity of real people.
  • Content that promotes terrorism, organised violence, self-harm or suicide.
  • Prompts designed to produce malware, phishing pages, fraud kits or to bypass platform safety filters of upstream AI models in ways that violate their terms.
  • Prompts that infringe trademarks (e.g. asking the model to imitate Disney characters, copyrighted brand mascots) when sold as official-looking assets.
  • Prompts that incite hatred or discrimination on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or nationality.
  • Personal data, leaked credentials, scraped private databases, or anything obtained through hacking.

Adult (18+) content that is legal in your jurisdiction may be allowed in specific categories with age gating; check the Seller Dashboard for the current adult-content rules before listing.

6. Mandatory 30-day buyer support

Every buyer is entitled to 30 days of in-app chat support after purchase. You are expected to:

  • Respond to buyer questions within 48 hours during business days.
  • Help the buyer get the intended outcome — explain variables, suggest model settings, troubleshoot wording issues.
  • Be respectful, even when the buyer's expectations seem unrealistic.
  • Disclose if the prompt no longer works because the underlying model changed, and if possible release an updated version.

Ignoring buyers, replying rudely, or refusing to honour reasonable support requests is a violation. Repeated breaches can lead to forced refunds against your pending balance and account suspension.

7. Reviews, ratings and reputation

You may not solicit fake reviews, exchange reviews with other sellers, offer refunds in exchange for positive reviews, or pressure buyers to change negative reviews. Suspicious review patterns (clusters of 5-star reviews from new accounts, reviews from related IPs, etc.) are detected automatically and lead to the affected reviews being removed and the seller being warned or suspended.

8. Disputes and refunds

Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy. When a buyer opens a dispute you have 72 hours to respond inside the dashboard. Cooperating in good faith — offering a fix, providing additional examples, or agreeing to a partial refund where appropriate — almost always leads to the best outcome for both sides. Silence is treated as agreement with the buyer and may result in an automatic admin decision in their favour.

A dispute rate consistently above 5% of your monthly orders triggers a quality review and may lead to listing demotion or account suspension.

9. Pricing, fees and payouts

Promtify charges a marketplace commission on every successful order; the current commission rate is shown on the seller dashboard. You receive the remainder in your seller balance after a holding period that allows for refund and dispute windows to close (typically 7 days). Payouts are sent on the schedule shown in the dashboard, subject to a minimum payout threshold and to KYC / tax compliance.

You may not attempt to bypass platform fees by directing buyers to off-platform payments, asking for tips through external links, or splitting orders across other channels. Doing so is treated as circumvention and is grounds for permanent suspension and forfeiture of the seller balance.

10. Privacy and buyer data

Any buyer information you receive through Promtify (name, email visible in chat, dispute messages, etc.) may only be used to deliver and support the purchase. You may not export it, add buyers to external mailing lists, contact them outside the platform without consent, or share it with third parties. Violations may trigger data-protection consequences in addition to account suspension.

11. Intellectual property and licensing to Promtify

You retain ownership of every prompt you publish. By listing on Promtify you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, distribute (only as described in the buyer's licence) and promote your prompt within the Promtify platform and in marketing material referring back to your listing. The licence ends when the listing is permanently removed, except for already-completed buyer orders, which remain valid under the buyer's perpetual licence.

12. Suspension triggers — quick reference

  • Copying or reselling someone else's prompt.
  • Listing prohibited content.
  • Misleading previews or false claims in descriptions.
  • Fake reviews or review manipulation.
  • Repeated failure to support buyers within the 30-day window.
  • Excessive dispute or chargeback rate.
  • Sharing buyer data or moving sales off-platform.
  • Payout fraud, fake identity, or KYC misrepresentation.
  • Any attempt to harass buyers, other sellers, or Promtify staff.

Suspensions are graduated where appropriate — a first minor violation typically results in a warning and a listing edit request. Serious or repeated violations are met with immediate suspension and, where warranted, permanent bans with no further payout.

13. Appeals

If you believe a listing was removed or your account was suspended in error, you can appeal once through the seller dashboard within 14 days. Provide any evidence that supports your case (drafts, version history, screenshots). The appeals team reviews the case independently and the decision is final.

14. Changes

Promtify may update this Seller Policy as the marketplace and AI ecosystem evolve. Material changes are announced in the dashboard and by email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continuing to list or sell after that date is treated as acceptance.
